I’ve tried to get into his first tape, SetBacks, but even tho I recognize the talent, it’s not as enjoyable a listen as all his feature work from 2011 would have you believe.
Honestly, I think their going about this all wrong. That Black Hippy tape should be dropping next. It’d set the stage for Q & Ab-Soul to drop tapes in 2012.

Ab-Soul, Kendrick and Jay Rock all had iTunes released “albums” last year. Setbacks was a free mixtape. This builds on the ASAP buzz while getting some more fans and getting his voice out there
but I like him the least out of the Hippy Quartet. We need some more Ab-Soul music
