im saying, people pick parts of a rapper to prove their point, and thats fine cuz we do that everywhere else in life but truth is.

they’re different. Jay (generally, not always obv) makes happier music, party music (not like pop but general attitude), rich/king music

Nas has done that as well, but mostly his songs are about other subjects that aren’t exactly going to be played at a party friday night. those tracks can have superior lyrics to Jays songs, but wont be seen as “as good” for some.

so when people chooose whow as more popular, sold more, who made up lines, who did what first etc…. i try to just think like this
