At a press conference on the futre site of the controversial Barclay’s Center this morning, Jay-Z announced that the New Jersey Nets will be renamed the Brooklyn Nets when they take over the building as their new home next year. He also says he’s going to be opening the venue with a special concert series which will begin with an inaugural show on September 28, 2012.
