And the report was from Billboard.com. The guys that make the charts.

    Not some random rumour site.
    ———————–
Usually BB goes into detail as to where the artist is going to pickup the sales (digital versus retail) and gives the percentages and progress.

This time there was none of that…just “WAYNE WILL DO A MILLI AGAIN” and this news literally was released the morning after the VMA’s probably to counter the Carter Baby news.
    ————————————————-

I gotta say, this sounds like its veering on conspiracy.

The article wasn’t as detailed as before, and I have know idea how the baby plays into this.

Like I said, it’s probably going to do less than 850k since this type of album more people probably bought on the first day than the rest of the week, but 500k is for sure and he’ll probably do higher.

no one knew about “i am a human being” wasn’t that shit released when he was locked up?

as for “rebirth”.. who the fuck would want to buy a rock n roll wayne album? the only single for that was “drop the world” i think which was a hit but nobody’s gunna be checkin for that album

carter 3 sold a milli first week… obviously carter 4 gunna be doin numbers

far better promo, multiple singles, vma performance, weezy’s fanbase, the fact it’s the sequel to carter 3

    smh i’m stating the obvious

    A Dude logic<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

  8. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

Yeah I have listened to an Emilijo [sp] song like twice maybe, after all the times he’s been posted here. I mainly check here for the C-Section and artists I already like.

No shots though, he probably reads this so I wish him good luck.

i’m a big wayne fan, but i have to admit i think the dude is starting to fall the fuck off… it’s been mostly downhill since “6 foot 7 foot”…

granted, carter 4 isn’t a bad album, it’s got some joints… but for the most part, wayne becoming a lazy, weak, predictable, punchline rapper. shit’s disappointing as FUCK

  10. Captain Planet Says:

    * RNC’s it up *

I read TWO different articles yesterday

Yea, Carter is going diamond first week.

Listening to the Carter 3 more recently and comparing it to C4, he’s a different rapper.

Almost like he’s phoned it in, just doing enough to keep the teenage MTV crowd happy.

I never thought I’d see this happen with a guy who seemed to spend his entire days rapping when he was on the come up.

  18. Captain Planet Says:

Must hurt Kanye to know he’ll never be in the GOAT discussion …

Yeah, I don’t know if Kanye’s done enough lately to make up for him being a weak MC early on. He’s probably in my Top 10, his albums are all great.

    ^
wait… you think kanye’s first 2 albums were weak?!
    ————————————

Nah, his first two are his best if anything.

I mean as far as MCing goes. His flow, rhymes, punchlines, etc. are all below average for an all time great on those records [and Graduation, too].

But I look at MCing like the rap equivalent of being able to play guitar really well. Related to being able to write great songs, but not the be all end all.

Kanye’s not really a Top 10 MC, but his catalog is one of the best IMO. He made great SONGS, and great ALBUMS.

  20. Captain Planet Says:

Why can’t I post on the latest one ???

    Reddot N Curry = Nation ???

i see… but dont you think those songs and albums will effectively beef up his LEGACY?

when you talk about Michael Jackson you speak about his SONGs and ALBUMS… along with his ability to captivate the audience..

is kanye not on that level when you have a ‘greatest mc of all time’ discussion.. at least a little?

  25. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

    @Remix:

Not greatest MC, but greatest hip hop artist? Hell yeah. Easy Top 10, maybe Top 5. His catalog is pretty amazing.

The key is in the guitarist/rock band analogy. The Beats and the Rolling Stones don’t really have the greatest guitarists, or singers, or anything. But they’re in most peoples Top 5 for best rock artists. MCing is only one part of being a great rap artist.

I think we agree, we just got caught in semantics there.
