But they’re good enough for kanye to use Cons to help him write his own verses, right?

    Shit seems kinda shady.

But then again, Kanye learned from the best.

The only guy that I can recall who had Kanye work on most of his album(s) since he was signed to GOOD was Common. ‘Ye on a lot of other dudes on his labels albums doesn’t put in as much work as he has put into Commons Be and FF. Cons was on Spaceship, Gone, had 3 or 4 tracks from Ye on his debut including Grammy Family, and he got Ye AND John Legend on that one track Whatever You Want. Cons just sucks and Pusha has proven he is better and even got Ye to produce his whole solo album. Cons been trying to beef with Cudi, Big Sean, and now Pusha and shits stupid. He sucks.

Runaway wouldn’t be the same with Consequence on it.

And this is why Common did numbers & Cons didn’t.

Wondough would blow if he had an album executive produced by Kanye with 85% Ye production.

Cons TV was supposed to be the album Kanye actually remembered Cons was signed to GOOD Music.

  5. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

Grammy Family was a DJ Khaled single FIRST.

They squandered that look by giving the Arab 1st dibbs.

Not really. That album was never gonna do more then Gold just based on the way it was constructed & the promo for it.

    ^^^

I mean, it was a Consequence album… haha.

  7. Samir Says:

I still don’t get why a label pays Khaled to put out albums. If he’s not producing or rapping, what’s his value? Those compilations couldn’t/wouldn’t occur without his “oversight”?

  8. AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway Says:

    @ Samir

And Kanye treated it like that instead of finding the right set of songs that could get Cons to the next level.

There wasn’t any attempt to come up with anything more then an album that does 250K – Gold.

If you don’t see the potential in an artist, why sign him?

Unless you need him to help write your own raps and put out the album as a way of satiating him.

Kanye leaving Cons behind basically says Cons is a failure when in actuality, there wasn’t that much of an effort to make him a star. Cons filled a role & once Kanye got what he wanted & where he wanted to be, he trashed him & moved on to the next artist who’ll help him write his verses.

Those “Big Sean ghostwrites for Kanye” rumors sound true as shit right about now.

If Sean writes for Ye, somebody needs to tell Sean stop giving up the good verses and save im.

Bottom line, Cons got a look. Sometimes artists (even the talented ones) dont connect with the public. It aint the labels fault, or lack of promo, or u aint get the right push. Niggas just aint fucking with YOU.

There is alot more that goes into being a star than just rapping, you say your words and its crickets but another nigga says em and their platinum? This shit aint for you and your not a star.

    Not excuses.

I’m just saying Cons isn’t that far out there for “biting the hand” cause in this case, it’s obvious Kanye chose to part ways with the artists he first signed to GOOD. The ones that helped craft his first 2 classic albums. He’s signed new talent, some with proven fanbases & styles. New talent that held up against the old GOOD Music roster is far superior. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But I think of all those OG GOOD Music artists, Cons was easily the most talented rapper and deserved the same look Kanye gave to Common, CuDi, Big Sean, Pusha T, Cyhi, etc.. I think Cons is a talented writer and with the proper direction, he’s capable of making a really great album. Getting people to listen to it would be another story but crafting that great album has to be the priority and I don’t think Don’t Quit Your Day Job was a serious attempt on Cons or Ye’s part to make that kind of album. Cons TV had the potential to be that album and was already in the process of being recorder

    What happened?

  17. koa29 Says:

unfortunately hip hop beefs ain’t what people look for anymore…cons is just making a bad move

and @Amp, i agree with what you say about Cons being a talented songwriter…That diss he put out, while dumb, didn’t sound bad at all…and he does always kill his verses.

That verse on “Chain Heavy” ???? crazy shit

but it’s true, i just feel Cons doesn’t have the star power. He’d make a good album sure, but them #HorseTeeth only work in the mainstream for English people.

  18. Cashmere Cavalli aka Snowbunny Sampson Says:

    niggas actually defending Cons?

he’s beefing with GOOD Music aka Lil Sean and them?

how u plan to expose a man who wears leather trousers and blouses when he raps?

  19. Bones Jackson Says:

Cons was never a marketable rapper plain and simple. Now he is making himself less marketable. No one wants to listen to the guy (that they already didn’t know) that gets dropped from a label and in a bitter rage starts firing shots at people.

  20. Harlem WORLD Says:

Facebook and Twitter have created a generation obsessed with themselves, who have short attention spans and a childlike desire for constant feedback on their lives, a top scientist believes.

Repeated exposure to social networking sites leaves users with an ‘identity crisis’, wanting attention in the manner of a toddler saying: ‘Look at me, Mummy, I’ve done this.’

Baroness Greenfield, professor of pharmacology at Oxford University, believes the growth of internet ‘friendships’ – as well as greater use of computer games – could effectively ‘rewire’ the brain.

    they dont hear you ma

  21. Harlem WORLD Says:

This can result in reduced concentration, a need for instant gratification and poor non-verbal skills, such as the ability to make eye contact during conversations.

Baroness Greenfield, former director of research body the Royal Institution, said: ‘What concerns me is the banality of so much that goes out on Twitter.

‘Why should someone be interested in what someone else has had for breakfast? It reminds me of a small child (saying): “Look at me Mummy, I’m doing this”, “Look at me Mummy I’m doing that”.

‘It’s almost as if they’re in some kind of identity crisis. In a sense it’s keeping the brain in a sort of time warp.’

  22. Harlem WORLD Says:

The academic suggested that some Facebook users feel the need to become ‘mini celebrities’ who are watched and admired by others on a daily basis.

They do things that are ‘Facebook worthy’ because the only way they can define themselves is by ‘people knowing about them’.

‘It’s almost as if people are living in a world that’s not a real world, but a world where what counts is what people think of you or (if they) can click on you,’ she said.

‘Think of the implications for society if people worry more about what other people think about them than what they think about themselves.’

Her views were echoed by Sue Palmer, a literacy expert and author, who said girls in particular believe they are a ‘commodity they must sell to other people’ on Facebook.

She said: ‘People used to have a portrait painted but now we can more or less design our own picture online. It’s like being the star of your own reality TV show that you create and put out to the world.’
