“No Celings” is 50x better than “Sorry 4 the Wait”
============================
Wayne repo’d several songs on that No Ceilings tape
on this new one he could barely outshine Kreayshawn’s version of Gucci Gucci
Lil B’s tomfoolery is the highlight of the tape….unintentional comedy at it’s best
————————————————
THIS
I hate to say it but as awful as Lil B’s verse was from a technical standpoint, it had all of the personality that seems to be missing from Wayne post-jail.
Wayne lyrics haven’t changed much from his peak years, but the weird persona that he gave off in the WAY he rapped that matched his lyrical style perfectly is missing I’m afraid.
Wayne delivery isn’t as good as it once was. He sounds like some lesser rapper trying to mimic the Lil Wayne of old. Only a couple of songs on the new tape sound as good as his old stuff.
No Ceiling was a really good tape, but even that one showed signs of his delivery losing its unique sense of unpredictability and aloof mastery. He kind of spazzed on a bunch of those songs so people didn’t notice, but No Ceiling didn’t have close to the repeat play value of Da Drought 3, for example.
so I’m resigning on this beat, redefining what is sweet
gutter plus a utterance a narrative of the streets.
makes for a flavor hard to capture if you aint peep
drug sales and thug fails and slugs that interrupt love tales
yea the streets is brolic
and if you aint live it you could’nt speak this knowledge
or thorough about a topic complete with solace
i promised the authority on this beat i’d flourish
Play cars for big boys make a sled
and A-R and sigs toys flying over head
and haters who rig shit vying for the bread
todays there’s are a snitch nigga lying to the feds
tomorrow a bad bitch crying in yo bed
its all love tho, cause we trying to get ahead.
Listening to the tape. The bars are as good/bad [depending on your opinion] as ever, it’s the flow. He’s still above average with his delivery, but a few years back he was undisputedly the best with the flow.
still dancing
yo this beat aint stop
romancing the snare like Im deep in the twat
ya ho mans disappear as I reach for that glock
not stunting tho
just hunting while im sunk in
the drunken flow
line up you somthings like dominos
and one drop, the rest fall like the season
slow breathing with the eagle on this court Im seasoned.
oh shit, its amazing what an ill beat will do
wake a nigga out a slumber and peep the hue
suddenly… gray skies turn blue
the aura of the chorus seeks to bloom
in two of three minutes a complete renew
thats hip hop for dummies discrete to a few
chosen ones, the rolling drums like holdin’ guns
the guitar riff is like a spliff of piff
and its our gift although its hit or miss…
And the sad part is that, knowing Nah Right, you’re probably pushing 40′s door down and are using motherfuckin internet lingo. A fucking shame and a disgrace.
