Video: Talib Kweli & Maseo Explore Hip-Hop: A Cultural Odyssey

Talib and Maseo peruse Hip-Hop: A Cultural Odyssey, an epic 400 page coffee table book chock full of images and essays chronicling the history of Hip-Hop culture, that coincided with the launch of the Grammy Museum’s exhibit of the same name earlier this year.

    welfare <<<<

smh at these girls having no control, getting multiple abortions..and then drop out of school to have 3 kids by 3 different men…all expenses paid by Mr & Mrs Taxpayer…smfh
    ^^^
Be as that may, pulling the welfare rug from underneath them is unreasonable…you'll just have millions of mothers and babies out in the street or in some homeless shelter or the kids get put in an already dysfunctional foster care system.

the middle class is gonna pay taxes no matter what…your tax money probably going to causes a lot worse than Sharonda and her 3 kids.

Does Maseo and/or De La smoke?

I swear they have had lines both for and against it over time. Same with 50 and Jay.

voting for the lesser of two evils (no matter which way you lean) sounds fucked up to me anyway.

neither of those teams are really tryin to help anyone. They all buried in money and ego while making the little people argue about shit that don’t matter to everyday life.

Not to mention them Missy albums & the work he did for Aaliyah & Jay-Z.

Timbaland brought Electronica to Hip-Hop/R&B & ushered in the sound of Popular Music as we know it today.

    Respect The Architects.

  15. big_seth Says:

Your taxes are doing more than paying for abortions.

they got you bombing WHOLE families, subsidizing corporate payroll, and imprisoning hella black men.

Politics is evil..aint no lesser, you fooling yourself into thinking the Dems have apathy for you and they out to help you. I’d rather a Republican honestly tell me “hey fend for your own” than a dem lie and say “we gon help you”.

I come from a hard working family, it pays off, my family (elders) in jamaica is pretty wealthy..they worked hard, didnt expect help from anyone or considered themselves victims of socio-economic policies.

Niggaz cant handle the truth.- Boldy James

you act like thats a good thing..

RZA did good things with hiphop music..

not try to fuck it up like Timbaland did… and turn it into something industrial and mechanical and commercial… and pop

I agree, but republicans be talkin “fend for yourself” whilst making it more difficult for you to do so.

both sides is fucked. I agree with that part. that’s why I said “the Gov don’t really like folks with melanin.”
