Dallas and Rafi join the Coney Island Polar Bear club in their annual New Years’s Day dip for Episode 1 of their 6-part I.C. NYC documentary series.
The Polar Bear Swim is a Coney Island tradition. On New Year’s Day, the Polar Bear Club who swim off this beach all winter long invite the world to join them for a plunge in the near freezing Atlantic Ocean. What better way to start I.C. NYC than by participating in this New Year’s tradition? Are these people just crazy or are the health benefits of cold water for real? And more pressingly, is this just some white people shit? The IC’s aim to find out!

I gave that Blu – Jesus album a couple solid spins over the weekend, along with HerFavouriteColour…and those projects are dope but they are kinda hard to listen to unless you’re just chilling out or working on a project or something.
Still, Blu is probably one of the most frustrating dudes to be a fan of. A lot of his tracks are all over the place, different volumes, sound qualities and all that. But still, make a Blu playlist and shuffle it, and all his music makes sense together.
And I even like that new J-Davey track he has for the new album too. Good job Samir.

At the end of the day…a lot of artists kind of come and go, they are dope in their own right, they catch a buzz for awhile and will grab your attention for a little…
but Jay Electronica and Blu are the dopest artists to come out in the last 5 or so years. Easily. Quality over quantity…neither has a track that is played out to me or has lost it’s luster.

i fear this is the truth, my friend. i really do. but being that this is cleveland we are talkin about, i can’t say i’m surprised.
but still, we’re playing good ball, beating the teams we are supposed to beat, and often when we take the L, it’s because we are facing an ace. word to David Price. And i realize that means that the best we can hope for is a playoff appearance, because we can’t compete against top tier pitching, but shit man, i’m still hoping they can keep it going
