   Nah, Jay clearly has an enormous ego, but he also strikes me as very practical. He knows he doesn’t have “it” like he used to (when was the last time he made a solo song?) and needs Kanye’s ideas to make him palpable to rap’s current landscape. I doubt he’d question many of Ye’s ideas at this point.

   Sorry for the late response, as I’ve been checking in here on and off…but yeah that’s a good point. I may have exaggerated it.

   I just expect Jay to still reign in some of Kanye’s ambition in the hopes of making something pop friendly. Some of the stuff on MBDTF, and of course 808s are examples of risks Jay-Z will never allow on an album he’s on.
