The B. Coming trumps it because it’s slightly more cohesive and even though there are a few bright spots, the label let The B. Coming be the dark album it was meant to be.

My main issue with B.coming is the 3 of guests, and all of them don’t gel as well with the album as they should. I understand why there are so many guests, but still.

I can see Don’t Stop (even though it’s a Pop tinged record, “Eat a dick with AIDS on tip” was never gonna get on MTV). But Purple Rain? That’s an epic song. Gotta Have It was on the same tip as the 2nd State Prop album & even though Beans is sleepwalking through it, Peedie snaps off.

And Oh Daddy?

I can appreciate it, even though Mase blessed that sample first & did it better.

I didn’t like purple rain cuz it was contrived imo. Plus, I had that damn sample first and got it ruffed by that nigga, lol.

I don’t have a problem with the BARS on any of those songs, but Don’t Stop was poorly executed all around, with the exception of Snoop’s hook. The beat was awful, and like you said, Dwight was battle rapping the bitches, not a good look.

Gotta Have it was Flipside but with a Twista feature, and not nearly as well executed.

I don’t particularly have any issue with Oh Daddy; I just think its filler and not needed; I tend to skip it to get to better songs on the record.
