Boldy James – Trapper’s Alley: Pros & Cons (Full Mixtape)

So for some reason the version of Boldy’s mixtape that originally appeared on illRoots last night was only the “Pros” half of the equation. I figured the “Cons” would be dropping at a later date, but no, here’s the full version, including 14 more tracks to bring us to a total of 28. Man, I must’ve played those first 14 cuts about 4 times straight last night. This shit is hard white.

    What’s your point again AMP?

    Polanski = Kreyshawn?
    ^^^

I’m just saying, other artists have done worse and continue to get respect from peers & critics alike.

I haven’t heard the chick say nigger or the context she said it in so I’m not as willing to shit on shorty just cause you say I should.

    >>> Sounds like you DON’T want me to link you up to where she says it, just so you can retain your deniability.

    That’s cool.

    Ignorance is bliss I guess.

But this is also a rapper we’re talking about.

First you said white comedians could say it, now in the right situation white rappers can?

First off, Kanye is a producer so I give him more credit for his abilities cause he’s actually more involved in the creation of it then the average rapper (even though Cons might feel different)

Secondly, the disparity between Gibbs, Vado & Drake is really not that great. it’s just the Pop music that Drake makes is more popular & commercially viable then the streetcentric songs that Gibbs & Vado specialize in.

    Simple as.

Drake is a better R&B cat/singer than Gibbs. Gibbs is a better/grittier rapper than Drake. Both are good at what they do. Drake’s sub-genre of rap is much more palatable to the mainstream.

But I’d suggest that it’s a lot easier for Gibbs to make the kind of shit Drake does than for Drake to make the kind of shit Gibbs does.

    i didnt say lyrical

    i said rapper
that involves flow, delivery, and lyrics, and a few other factors

so you can dead the argument just about lyrics

“Drake will leave a far greater mark on this rap genre than the other two and that’s what really matters in the long run right?”
so this has nthign to do with what i asked, maybe it does for a certain persopective, im talking about their individual talents, not how they are interpreted through sales and buzz
