Eminem & Royce Da 5’9 to Drop Joint EP in June
We live in this weird era now where every dream collaborative project you could ever think of actually has a chance of happening. I would have geeked the fuck out at this news like 12 years ago, but now it’s just like, eh. And it’s not that I don’t think it will be dope, or that I don’t want to hear it, because I do. It’s just somehow more exciting to think about an LP you know should happen but probably never will, rather that to actually get that LP and be disappointed. Does that make sense?
Says Em about the project:
“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.”
Says Royce:
“I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’ that will be the Slaughterhouse album. #TeamShady”
The EP is set for a June 14th release and will feature production from DJ Khalil, Havoc, Mr. Porter, Bangladesh and others.

The times are definitely different now…we’ve heard so much of Royce and Em since then.
They’ve grown, evolved, and become more successful since that time period so it’s pretty much impossible for the project to be authentic.
