If your an artist that signs to major in this climate of tanking record sales and clueless music executives, don’t be crying later on when your bosses are scrutinizing every song you make…the record business is in complete turmoil eventually more people are going to lose their jobs, so at the moment their concern is not your creative freedom…it’s their job security. Haven’t listen to the new Wiz, but I can’t really see how Kush & OJ wouldn’t be commercially viable in the form that it came in. It just happened to be a mixtape with great songs. There was little cohesion, but he was batting about .900 on that shit and a bunch of the songs could have become singles if it was an album with label backing.
Flight School was terrible. So was Star Power. Deal or No Deal was marginally less shite.
He had a lean spell for a minute there.
