Gucci Mane – The Return of Mr. Zone 6 (Cover)

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Gucci’s first street album since being arrested, then committed to a mental facility. Funny enough, it features a sketch of Gucci Mane’s face, similar to the cover of the (Asylum-approved) Gucci x Diplo remix-tape.

Who knows, considering all of his recent run-ins with the law, the police sketch might be the new in-house go-to Gucci Mane press pic. It was even updated for historical accuracy.

Bonus: Y-O rapped over Broken Bells’ High Road and released it earlier this week, off something called The Mixtape Before Lost In Hollywood.

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

#DannyBrownsHair

Earlier today, Danny Brown made the cover of his hometown paper with an investigative piece on Danny’s past (personal/music industry) and his future, including signing his deal and making new music:

Making the front page of your local paper for actions not resulting in court dates and jail time is a huge accomplishment and Danny Brown (complete with asymmetrical haircut) calls making it to the cover of the Detroit Metro Times “The biggest accomplishment of my musical career thus far”. Danny talks about his his stint with G-Unit, Time in Jail, Recording with a young Niki Minaj and his almost signing to Roc-A-Fella and all of the rest of the circumstance of balancing a burgeoning rap career with the realities of coming up in a neglected city under harrowing odds.
