*Dead* if he flipped Shakira’s “Waka Waka” on track 1.

Rick Ross Signs MMG to Warner Bros.

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

When news of a “bidding war” broke, it was obvious Rick Ross wasn’t going to sign his Maybach Music Group to any other rapper (Jay-Z/Diddy/Lil Wayne). Ross wanted to be his own “boss” who had his own artists. It only made sense that he was going to sign to Warner, to me at least, especially after this clip surfaced of him (and his leading lady) having a meeting with Todd Moscowitz. Plus MMG’s twitter account quoting Lyor Cohen the other week sorta gave it away.

Its official!!!!!! @maybachmusicgrp has partnered with Warner Bros!!!!!!!!!!!s/o Lyor Cohen..Tod..Joey I.e..dallas..and mybrother GucciPucciless than a minute ago via Seesmic for Android

Miss Info has some exclusive details and says Rick Ross’ upcoming album, God Forgives, I Don’t will still be coming out on Def Jam Records.

UPDATE: Hit the jump for part one of Rick Ross’ 2011 NBA All-Star Weekend in L.A. blog.
