Game ft. Fabolous – Ferrari Lifestyle + The Kill

Here are the second and third leaks off Jayceon’s Purp & Patron mixtape that’s dropping later this afternooon (4:20 to be exact). The Fab verse on “Ferrari Lifestyle” actually leaked late last year sans Game.

@ AmpGeez a.k.a. Amphernee Hardaway – I understand that argument fully. It’s wild because I think that Drake had way more awareness and recognition due to his COUNTLESS pop-star associations. The 1st time i heard anyone suggest I listen to Drake was on his “Man of the Year” song from his “Room for Improvement” mixtape (I think it was) and that had Lil’ Wayne co-sign written ALL over it.
In Khalifa-guys defense, he honestly gained majority of these accolades on his own merits, singularly. So MOST of us aren’t going to be HEAVILY familiar with his earlier work (unless we reasearch after his earlier WMG downfall) because he wasn’t being “pushed.”
But all them Taylors are hip to them “Deals or No Deals” “K&OJ”, etc. (not too hip with Khalifa-guys catalogue so I don’t know the name of no other shyts)

I just don’t understand why it’s so far-fetched to think Khalifa-man can go gold 1st week. It’s not IMPOSSIBLE. He’s pop ready – been ready.

I wonder what his motive was. nobody in they right mind would go in a police station and open fire.

@el feces loco: Once again, we have to put EVERYTHING into context.
Ross had a BUZZ out of this atmosphere, that much is true. But who did “BMF” and all them other songs cater to mostly? What demographic did he leverage to gain that buzz – what events did Ross’ music directly coincide with?
Right now, given Khalifa’s fanbase and all the activity that his music coincides with, YES. Khalifa has a bigger/ MORE RECOGNIZABLE buzz that stretches past just hip-hop and music in general.

Damn you go into a police station to make some 21 gun salute music and you fail? Son needs to re-evaluate his life
January 24th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
LoL….. @ el feces loco – good discussion nonetheless. At least you aint insult a nigga’s reasoning – that much I can respect homey.
I’m not necessarily “rooting” for the kid, I’m just stating what I see as a trend that predicates GREAT 1st week #’s.
If he comes up shorter than 500K 1st week – then you’re the better analyst Loco, lol. I might not post on here for a week lol.
