Comparing RD to Illmatic is like comparing beef to chicken, at the time I enjoyed both for what they were, as I got older and wiser though I learned that all that beef wasn’t good for the system.
I still enjoy RD though..probably when Hov was it most humble, vulnerable, ungodly point..made for good music. All that other shit is just red meat though.

and his old ass aint even GOTTA be tryin that hard on the mic no more. That nigga still love spittin and he cant leave the mic alone. Truly one of the greatest (no stan/IcebergSlim)
I can’t even bring myself to comment when niggas acting like fucking clowns with all that name changing shit. What’s the point of that shit? Niggas don’t know you with the first screen name, why make up some other stupid shit?
No shots to the lil niggas that have a good time playing that shit, but it’s corny,in my humble opinion.
you can’t say that jay’s production shit is a knock against jay’s catalog, because thats part of being an artist.. nas couldn’t have picked better producers? like everyone in the game wasn’t trying to work with nas ? nas chose who he worked with, and often he chose wrong. jay chose right.
I think Nas picking shitty beats is almost like not sucking up to a teacher but still getting good grades. Jay’d be the one up front ratting on the other students and Nas would be causing shit, still acing tests.

no he didn’t. Jay hasn’t truly “gone IN” on absolutely anything since the “A Million and One Questions Remix”. maybe his last verse on “It’s Alright” or the “911 Freestyle” off of that old DJ Clue, but other than that he’s just been playing with you young kids (no Kellz) who just don’t have the fortune to know any better.
nas couldn’t have picked better producers? like everyone in the game wasn’t trying to work with nas ? nas chose who he worked with, and often he chose wrong.
^^Like isnt that part of Nas brilliance though? His ability to excel without “big production” ? I dunno I’m from the Bob Marley school, i like shit scaled down, none of that opera shit, just a chair a guitar and some backups..I dig that organic shit, Nas took more chances with his music and touched on different topics that Jay would never even attempt..Jay played it safe…to me.
Good for you curtis, now take a fucking public speaking course or get a damn tutor, shit. Cue card or something.. there’s no real reason this guy should be fumbling all over himself like this… smh.
Dre and Monster originated this… I cant believe people will actually buy these things. Check out the site for Sleek Audio… looks 10 years old… I wouldnt pay $400 for wireless headphones that you know arent going to sound nearly as good as wired headphones….

what would Nas have done with the “Hovi Baby” beat?… or the “Encore” beat?…
or the “December 4th” beat?… or the “Best Of Both Worlds” beat?…
or the “All I Need” beat?… or the “Brooklyn’s Finest” or “Cashmere Thoughts” beat… or the “You Dont Know’ or “Some People Hate” beat..?
or if Nas & The Bravehearts rhymed over the “As One” beat?
you already know…
Nas > JayZ
^^
Seriously.
You put Nasir on the Blueprint’s instrumentals, you still have a classic album.
You put CamelGOAT on Stillmatic, people would say CamelGOAT fell off.
FACT.

Darius was like Agent Smith in the Matrix– replecating and talking to himself and whatnot, fucking up the program.
At least Legend realized he fucked up and killed it– Ashley would never admit that he fucked up.

It’s a win-win,IMO. It’s a new year and BOTH of yall said/did foul shit. Let that shit go my niggas.

Too bad radio didnt have the same technology 8-9 years ago.
