For those of us that consider ourselves ‘real heads’, we should be rooting for the guy. If he makes it, that might open the door to more artists with substance. I don’t think he’s “THE ONE”, but he’s good with me.

I think most people DO root for him– they just all admit he’s missing something that would make him actually successful, instead of just internet successful.

I was only 9 when Reasonable Doubt came out . First Jay album I got was the Dynasty when I was 13 and then I went back and got all the previous, and I instantly thought RD was his best album, even after I got BP.

Comparing RD to Illmatic is like comparing beef to chicken, at the time I enjoyed both for what they were, as I got older and wiser though I learned that all that beef wasn’t good for the system.

I still enjoy RD though..probably when Hov was it most humble, vulnerable, ungodly point..made for good music. All that other shit is just red meat though.
