Honestly I wouldn’t mind having a daughter in porn..
I’d be mad…because she gets pounded and taking shots to the face…
But I’d get over it…
She could probably introduce me to her girl friends/porn star co workers…its a win win situation…
and she would be getting compensated right…

where does it stop with this board/union
will there need to be official beat brokers who only deal union producers beats?
will rappers be able to work with people outside the “union”
how much will they pay to be in said union?
these are the easiest quuestions to ask, it gets deepeer…
will they have someone telling them how to make it in the industry, an exec who doesnt wanna be at defjam anymore….
what if person doesnt have a good relationship with these people in the union, etc…
i know its just an idea, but shit, in this country, its about personal freedoms. you can choose your own lawyers, accountants, group mates…
but I know… some really dont have that choice…

niggas who knew how to get money before they started rapping are probably the ones who are financially responsible
knowing how to generate revenue and tucking some away for a rainy day is step 1 to longevity in any industry

America needs unions. Besides they had to maintain some semblance of corruption to keep Uncle Sam from completely shutting them down. Trust though, without unions slavery would exist across the board.

nfl = salary based pay – their contract ensures they have to be paid at a certain date
rap = commission based pay – you make what you sell – once you repay your loan – after 6-18 months
that right there is one issue – most rappers are spending the money they get straight away- not knowing when they will next make a profit – not knowing they’re in the 48-50% tax bracket
gotta have some sort of consultancy to regulate that

jewelry is ok if its
a) real gold
b) you actually own it
because you can sell it as gold retains some of its value
but that needs to be ironed out – too many rappers blowing money on jewelry – thats often fake and often silver & platinum instead of gold
January 5th, 2011 at 1:17 pm
also these niggas make all these hits and when it’s all said and done at the end of their career don’t even own the rights to the song
they should deal with master ownership or a percentage minimum requirement so these niggas can eat off they music years to come

im not telling a client what to do. im tellign them some options and there likely results.
you wanna stunt and buy a chain, ok, heres what happens when you do that.
an accountant doenst know about keeping up appearences, or even, the life the star may have come from. so thats why you need an honest man in your group, maybe someone who went to school, to help work with the suit.
its more than staying current with the IRS, the real goal… should be to have said star/performer understand more and more of their financial situation as time goes on.

I make ya bitch crew, shit stools,
I put the Pis-tol in ya mouth and pull then I feed you to the pit bulls,
Dont even talk about guns,
the only 9 you got is a 5 dollar bill and 4 ones,
So I dont give a fuck what none a yall niggas say,
cuz anything that cant penetrate richochets,
rhymin wit me on a record?
U might as well as died and went to heaven cuz my rhyme method is like a medievel torture method,
4 limbs tied to 4 horses alll pullin in different direction,
fast or slow flows connect like electrodes,
I make cassette tape decks blow when Im in wreck mode,
explode, leavin areas abandoned,
wit more radiation than behind the spots UFOs landed in

Cashmere, you’re spitting reality, but two things
1) most niggas don’t know about this to even consider negotiating this; and
2) Label heads hold all the leverage in those negotiations, cuz rappers WANT and think they NEED to be on a major label, so even if they knew about this, they wouldn’t have the leverage to stipulate that into their contract
January 5th, 2011 at 1:23 pm
Percy had the leverage in his negotiations with labels, cuz he didn’t need them to make money, he was doing that without them. Labels just wanted a piece of the pie, so they were just trying to get on. This is why he told them to fuck off early in his major label negotiations, cuz he wanted to keep and own all his masters
