so, i used to work a Bank Of America back in the day and had a job at a local radio station co-hosting the night show out here. all the dj’s used to live in one house and work at the same radio station and they had cameras in different places in the crib, and one at the actual radio station.
anyway, one weekend, we were getting trashed and i was gonna head home already, when i noticed one of my headlights was out. i dont even know how i noticed it, being so fucked up. i got out and checked and indeed it was out. for some reason though, instead of going back inside the crib and crashing there, i decided to chance it and head home. so, i mashed back to the crib with my high beams on the entire way there (i have no idea how i made it). this was on a Saturday btw.
i didn’t do shit Sunday, and by Monday i was back to work at the bank. at lunch, i finally remembered that my headlight was out and i had to change it before i head out to the radio station that night. so i went and bought a headlight to put on. by the time i got out of work, i was headed home and in deep thought about how i was going to be late to the radio station considering i had to change the headlight, eat and change all in 15 minutes before i had to head out.
so while im driving, i heard the railroad track lights go off, but for some reason, i figured the railroad crossing arm was up still and i was just gonna cruise through it before it came down. anyway, long story short, by the time i realized, i looked.. and the arm was all the way down and i was going 45mph on its direct path to collision. hitting the brakes would NOT have saved me. so instead of doing that, i floored it and ran straight through the arm. next thing you know, i got glass all over me, all in my eyes (first reaction when you hit something is to pump the brakes).. i’m trying to blink the glass out my eyes and i look to my left and the train is coming straight at me honking like no tomorrow.
i was like ‘OH SHIT!!!!!’ so i pressed the gas and kept it moving to the stoplight right in front. everyone who was on the opposite side of the road was pointing fingers, i was shaking… didnt know wtf to do. so i was like FUCK IT, and i floored it all the way back to the crib with a shattered windshield.
to this day, whenever i hear those railroad crossing arms, i get shook. a few times now, they’ve gone down as i’m crossing them shits. smh

at a party college party with my peoples, were some fraternity dudes where stepping started to gather a little crowd with the chicks… So me team were none too impressed and just parlayed in the cut. Because of the immense shine illuminating from that corner of the room were we stood eventually the chicks were like fuck these corny stepping ass niggas, and naturally gravitated toward the light. Well them stepping ass niggas were angered for what they say as disrespect and so they plotted.
A short while after they lights were turned off, it was darkness, when they came back on I found myself surrounded by these sweaty men with burn marks on there arms. Before I could gather my wits BAM! nigga snuffed me. I took him down to the floor with me no homo, and all I remember seeing and hearing was my nigga CL; r.i.p, saying get off him while hooking off at the whole party. That was my nigga. Live nigga who died few years after that, trying to help another nigga. Man, but yo, that was the first and last time I got touched.

Would be a good point if all the rappers you named enjoying didn’t delve into funny-style hip-hop ( see: Drunk White Girls, Wet Wipes etc.) Not saying I didn’t like those songs but they didn’t enlighten me on the true aspects of being a black man in the struggle either.

short story (not that interesting)
so this one time kids tried to rip me off on weed, but they were kids i have known and am somwhat friendly with, nh
had me get in their car to drive to get it (II), we (my friends and I) were looking for some weed since wre in HS and its the weekend. i hesistantly go int he car, we are on our way.
after like 30-45 mins, they pull over, ask me for the money and then to get out. i just say “no fucking way” or something, and im hella suprised since I knew/smoked with these cats. this went on for like 2 minutes (but felt longer, nh), then they half played it off as a joke and get going. weird part is, I’m pretty sure after spending like 1.5 hours in that car, i eventualyl got the weed.
the whole time my phone was dead/not with me, so my friends had no idea what was going on… i eventually found them, and we got blazed like there was no tomorrow
getting weed in HS was a challenge sometimes.
