yes. however i never did ANYTHING that would take me off the path of success… kids do dumb shit.. but there is a line i would NEVER cross because of my upbringing… alot of kids i grew up with are either dead, in jail, or in really fucked up situations… these were people i hung with EVERYDAY…. so yeah while dumb shit was part of growing up.. the really really dumb shit i KNEW to avoid…

Agreed, but beating your kids doesn’t really make them lose respect/love for you unless they’re too old for a beating. The beating keeps them in line and gets them to listen, but it has to be accompanied by guidance and care afterwords. My parents always talked with me a few hours after a beating unless it was a minor thing.
