it’s not my money nor is the Yankees franchise penny counters by any stretch of the imagination…those kizzas can print money if they so well pleased… I don’t know if Crawford can handle the pressure of NY baseball, him entering his 30s, his best years as a base stealer could be drawing near, for the money that his agent will be asking for… i don’t know….Yankees offense looked pedestrian at times last season so i can understand the signing…

I just wanted to bring up, what I thought is an interesting flaw, in the voting of the Cy Young award. If King Felix would of won 7-8-9 games, then he definitely wouldn’t of won the Cy Young award. But, my question is, why? The Cy Young award, in theory, according to sabermetricians, is supposed to represent a pitchers true individual pitching performance, then why should wins be factored in at all (insert sarcasm)?

You mean to tell me, that if next year King wins 8-9 games, and his stats are even more freakish than this years, that all of a sudden his stats should be discounted? If the Cy Young award is supposed to be purely based off a pitchers individual performance, like all the quote, unquote, “baseball experts and sabermetricians” say, then why when his wins are low do they all of a sudden not matter? See where I’m going with this? It seems a hella hypocritical.

^^^I agree….No one else can do what Mo does, but at the same time he’s not capable of putting up numbers that greater starters like johnson, clemens, etc..etc….I would have a hard time ranking him higher than Johnson based on the fact that randy has 3 20 win seasons, led the league in strikeouts for 8 or 9 years, 5 cy youngs etc…Not to mention he went 3-0 in the word series with a 1. something era….
