Video: Travis Barker ft. Tom Morello, RZA & Raekwon – Carry It
Seeing Tom Morello perform on Conan last week reminded me of Rage Against The Machine and how they pretty much never get mentioned anymore, although they probably should.

Street Sweeper Social Club performed after Wiz Khalifa at Rock the Bells in DC, so pretty much everyone cleared out to head to the main stage. I got to talk to Tom Morello for a little while, and he said they weren’t working on any new Rage Against the Machine material. Hopefully they all get some time to work in the studio soon.
This new Girl Talk album is pretty good. Sampling GZA’s “Liquid Swords” and Fugazi in the same song = ill.

============================
But EPMD is kinda the prototype for Mobb Deep.
And their first 4 albums are some of the most influential works in Hip-Hop, entirely self produced.
They spawned a whole camp of artists who were getting critical acclaim when they dropped and managed to remain relevant way past their shelf life.
November 15th, 2010 at 5:42 pm
OutKast. Plain and simple
^^^^^6
thats the only 2 i’d put against mobb deep.
I only give the slight edge to mobb because Outkast never came close to the greatness of Aquemini again. Stankonia was a let down IMO.
Mobb Deep never reached Murda Muzik type illness again but they put out better releases after that point then Outkast did after Aquemini

Amp personally it’s a toss up with these two but I’m gonna have to go with Mobb Deep just on the strength that I thought E Double held down EPMD skillwise… Though the same argument can be said about Prodigy and Mobb Deep I feel that Prodigy is a better MC then E Double and there’s no question Havoc is better then PMD so there’s my logic
