This shit happened so long ago, don’t remember all the details, but on 24/7 Arum (or somebody in Manny’s camp) said they agreed to RANDOM testing up to 7 days before the fight. 7 days doesn’t seem like enough time to get an unfair advantage. But my knowledge of steroids ain’t much. Again why they place any limits on when Manny will submit to testing is questionable. You would think the boxing federations would take the hint and impose Olympic style testing as mandatory.

I think the Yeezy album is a classic. It is kinda hard to judge nowadays with 1/3 to 1/2 of the album leaking in various forms before release. I’d rather be able to hear it front to back for the first time. The production is ridiculous and the lyrics/guest appearances are on point. I’ll cop hard copies upon release.

That reach, power, and style could make for a difficult or at least boring ass fight. That is all I’m saying. I don’t think Williams is better than Mayweather, but that reach is a muhfuka. Imagine if Tyson wasn’t a pygmie when he was trying to fight all those tall heavyweights. It is a hell of an advantage. Throw in Williams’ power and being a Southpaw… tricky. Styles make fights. People ain’t necessarily talking about classic in terms of a “classic hip-hop album”. It’s more about albums that usher in new ideas/concepts which end up transcending the status quo of a genre.
A “classic hip-hop album” is essentially serves as a definitive hallmark of hip-hop using its standard elements. Ye’s album is potentially a classic album because he’s bringing in new ideas/elements.
Ye (re)introduced hip-hop to live instrumentation in 2004 and producers trying to catch up. Six years later and violins on Overnight Celebrity (Twista) >>>>> Over (Drake).
Now Ye’s adding instrumental solos and interleaving them with verses. Closest I can think of is Questlove’s drum solo against the chorus of You Got Me.
But adding new ideas doesn’t automatically make an album classic. If the ideas stray too far and don’t really bring about any new trends to the genre, then in hindsight it leans on being experimental rather than classic.
Speakerboxxx/The Love Below might be a classic album to some but not likely a classic hip-hop album. Kanye’s album may be both but it’s too early to tell.
Keep in mind producers still trying to make techno-rap hits like Stronger / Flashing Lights. Even 50 tried Black Magic then realized how ridiculous it’d be if he jumped on that trend.
I feel as though producers/artists have to even more catching up to do now but only time will tell.

First of all, you changed the sport from basketball to baseball. Second, in baseball. what comes from those hits is more important than the hit themselves. If the guy who hits 10 triples knocks in 2 runs per triple, then his output is over 20 pts, plus getting himself on base. If the guy who hits 10 homeruns hits only solo shots, then he is only accountable for 10 pts. Yea, it looks flashier, but the guy who is bringing in more runs (Mayweather) is more important to his team than the guy whos just hitting solo homeruns (Pac).
But of course, people who don’t really watch boxing think that knockouts are the only important part of the sport. From the shoulder roll, to the combinations, to the ability to control an opponents spacing, timing, and ultimately dictate their reactions, Floyd is an AMAZING boxer, and its not even close. The fact that he DOESN’T get hit should be an example to all boxers– cuz if your defense is good, you ain’t supposed to. Go watch tapes of Sugar Ray Robinson, old Ali, etc, and you will see the same thing. That flatfooted, stand and throw punches shit is good for the casuals who just want to see two guys throwing punches, but its not good boxing– just a nut check.
