There’s a reason behind EVERYTHING. Why did Kanye sign pusha? Why pusha out of every other rapper he could choose?
Because pusha is what’s gonna keep kanye relevant to the streets. Jay is pop now. Kanye realises that the clipse have a diehard fan base and he’s gona be eating off that too. If Kanye didn’t bring pusha onto this album, it would be a straight pop album. Runaway would be a typical cheese pop song without pusha

We are talking about an artist who has continually reinvented himself over the past 7 years, continually pushed the boundrirs of this genre, gotten more relevant with each album (become a pop culture icon of this generation) and is considered a genius by his peers.

When I say “pop” album, I mean popular music. Pushes addition to good music was a carefully designed tactic which opened to door for Kanye to drop some street ish in a way that will keep him relevant.

Comon man. Your grown. Would you rather have me say something like “fuck Kanye, that dude is gay”. If I say something negative like that, it’s not picked upon…but if I give him appraisal, then it’s “stanning” lol…I love music, I love Kanyes music and I appreciate all the work he has put into his craft. Growing up, college dropout was the soundtrack to my high school days…blueprint is a classic, late registration is immaculate. I’m a grown man and I would rather give some1 more props for their work than just swear at them for no apparanent reason. That’s what women do, they curse each other for no reason. If I don’t like some1s music, I ignore it and keep it moving. If I like it, I will take some time out of my day to show some appreciation.

Kanye signed Mos because Mos is what’s keeping Kanye relevant to the older hiphop heads.
Kanye signed Pusha because Pusha and the fans of the Clipse is Kanyes last connection to the streets (Jay is pop now)
Kanye signed Cudi because that’s what’s keeps him relevant to the 14 year old hipsters who dont know any Kanye tracks other than “Stronger” and “Forever”.
There is no consistency in GOOD music as a label. Its just a bunch of dope artists, each playing their role in assisting Kanye to reach new audiences and remain relevant.

And Big Sean, Cons, Chyi, GLC are there to make Kanye look like a greater lyricist/weedcarriers/taxwriteoffs. They add nothing artistically to the label and I doubt Kanye expects any of them to have a career of purpose and substance. Understand, Kanye could change Cons life in a second. He could get him a track with Jay and Hudson and produce and feature it himself with a hype Williams video. But he wont.
