This is not the final version of this song, but it has been emancipated nonetheless. Here’s the science:
“2 Left Shoes” features R n B singer “Truth Hurts” and Rev. William Burk – its a demo we did this summer. I want to share with you Wu-Disciples before it gets into final form.
Verse one is about fake friends who I showed love to throughout the years yet they continue to stab me in the back and take my love and kindness for a weakness. Verse 2 explains how the true and living god put love above all things for love conquers all.
The hook states ” loving you is like wearing two left shoes”. I choose it because I am a man who loves unconditionally yet that love sometimes is difficult to handle or live with or simply to wear.

Another one for the “headlines I never thought I’d write” category. TMZ is reporting that Tip assisted the police (chuckle) in talking a suicidal man down from a 22 story high ledge in downtown Atlanta earlier today.
The story goes:
It all went down earlier this afternoon — when cops responded to a 911 call about a man who was threatening to jump off a building in downtown Atlanta … the same building where the Ryan Cameron Radio Show is based.
We’re told T.I. heard about the jumper on the radio — and called Ryan Cameron to see if there was anything he could do to help out with the situation.
Ryan Cameron tells us … he told T.I. to roll over to the building, where the rapper met with police and recorded a heartfelt video message which cops then played for the man on the roof.
We’re told after the man saw T.I.’s video he agreed to step off the ledge … and met T.I. in the lobby, where the two were able to talk things out.
That’s crazy. No doubt his lawyers will be using this incident to help keep him out of jail.

Says Phonte:
Friends and Fam,
To coincide with the release of our new album “Authenticity,” we hope you will enjoy the short film “Thank You For Listening;” shot and directed by Sandrine Orabona (videographer for Michael Jackson’s ‘This Is It’) and Anke Thommen.
This short piece sums up the story of +FE, as well as incorporating live show footage, candid interviews and behind the scenes footage of Phonte, Nicolay, YahZarah, and the rest of the +FE Music family. For anyone wanting to get hip to the music and story of The Foreign Exchange, this video is the perfect entry point.
Thanks so much for your support.
Peace,
Phonte
As you may have heard, a new Big L project entitled Return of The Devil’s Son will be hitting stores on November 23rd. The LP is backed by the slain Harlem lyricist’s family and is alleged to be chock full of unreleased material (we’ll see about that, I have a feeling there are gonna be some recycled verses). Here is the artwork, hit the jump for press release and tracklist.
