I wonder if meditation alone will get a man to heaven. I hate to sound judgmental, but religion hasn’t done it for me in a minute and it’s probably gonna stay that way.
And yes, you’re missing out on some great verses if you skip “Don’t Stop”. The beat will probably grow on you too. No Eddie Long…

As for that CRS… my goodness… Pharrell sucked (as always), but Lupe was F&L-status, and then ‘Ye matched him, if not outright bodied him.
Wow.

But like i told you before, he’s never had a heavy feature LP. Doing things different is how you last in this business. Not 12 of the same LP’s (c) AZ
October 10th, 2010 at 1:16 pm
IF his next 2 LPs are chock-full of features and they’re carrying him, then your position COULD be valid. Still don’t know if I’d agree with that tho

But sales on this album are kinda like fools gold cause he’s going after other artists fan base. So far everything we’ve heard off the album has somebody else on it.
You gotta stand on your own two first.
I know he’s trying to make a comeback but I don’t respect that strategy.

He has already tho…unless you’re implying that he hasn’t stood alone because of 50′s help in the past?
I never saw Banks as a powerful force by himself anyway. He’s always been an incredible team player and i like him in that role (II).

=================================
I thought the first album was heavy on the G-Unit/Shady collabos
Rotten Apple was more of Banks on his own but it wasn’t the success they had hoped for.
Banks has to make an album where he’s the reason it works, not 50, not a gang of high profile features.
Just listen to this track. By the end of it, it’s easy to forget Banks was even on it.
That’s not how you make a lasting impression.

@Abort- Check your e-mail
@Amp- Unfortunately, the way the game is now, “collaborating” with other artists is what the “fans” want to see. I agree with you that Banks has a lot of features, but if they are not overshadowing him, then its fine. His first album, the features didn’t overshadow him, and there were enough solo songs that the features provided a welcome change of pace.

Game is either a rapper you hate or one that you can respect.
Regardless, you have to admit:
A. He respects the people that came before him.
B. He doesn’t do the genre of west coast a bad name.
C. He studies hip-hop.
I admit I’ve been a Game suporter. Myself, a little white kid, got on stage when he called all his “bloods” to come up. I was wearing a yellow 2pac shirt with the lyrics”how long will they mourne me”.
I also have video of him dapping me on stage. Like 20 minutes of HD live from front row. I’ll host it if anyone wants to check it.
