Thursday, September 23rd, 2010Jay-Z & Warren Buffett Cover Forbes 400 Issue
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010
Jay-Z day.
To go along with their cover, Jay-Z and Warren Buffett took part in the very first “Forbes 400 summit,” which consisted of an hour-long videotaped interview with Steve Forbes at Buffett’s office building in Omaha, Neb. Check out the full video of their sit-down after the jump, or simply visit Forbes.com to watch 5 highlight clips from the interview.
The first Forbes 400 Summit was surreal, amazing and, in the end, moving. We gassed up a Gulfstream 450 one warm September morning and flew one of the most successful recording artists of all time, Jay-Z, to meet the most successful investor of all time, Warren Buffett, on the latter’s home turf of Omaha, Neb. The intent was to capture their very different perspectives on success and wealth and to talk about the social obligations that come with each. They ended up finding out they had more in common than anyone would have expected between a 40-year-old rapper from the Brooklyn projects and the 80-year-old sage of compounded returns.
In clip #5 (also embedded after the jump,) Jay talks about almost losing an iPod with all the music he had recorded for Blueprint 3 on a flight coming back from Hawaii, the day before he bought the album’s rights for 5 million dollars. He also mentions checking all the internet sites every day for the next 3 months. Hilarity.

Kanye & Jay-Z’s Watch The Throne Drops 11/23?
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010The five song album with Jay that Yeezy promised the world on Twitter nearly a month ago is scheduled to drop on November 23rd (that’s about 9 G.O.O.D. Friday releases away,) according to Fake Shore Drive. “Monster” is supposed to be the single, for which there are already plans to shoot a video for, and the second single should be arriving within the next two weeks. It might also be released on Def Jam, which is a possibility since that’s where Kanye is signed to.

Crooked I – Blood On The Wall (HHW 7 Reloaded)
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010Over Joe Budden’s Prodigy diss.
We know that Crooked is the first to start a weekly series on the net and the first to shout out his fan’s on the tracks as well but he topped himself this week by helping a fan propose to his fiance at the end of the track.

Video: J. Period Interview w/ Dallas Penn @ DJ Hero2 Launch Party in NYC
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010Dallas Penn spoke to J. Period at the DJ Hero 2 launch event in NYC:
Biggup to ActiVision for hosting this party to launch the second version of the DJ Hero game. DJ J-Period and ActiVision associate producer Doug Grutzmacher chopped it up with me in the project stairwell. Okay, not the projects, but a fancy hotel overlooking Gramercy Park.
Shouts to the homie Dallas who finally got his blog back up & running.

Ne-Yo feat. Nas – She Was Crazy (Snippet)
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010Interestingly enough, Nas doesn’t take this opportunity to talk about Kelis, he even sorta comes to her defense.

Video: Jay-Z Breaks Down Most Kingz For Decoded
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010Great little promo clip for Jay’s book that explains in detail the thought process behind “Most Kingz,” which is a song we really only got to hear in full quite recently (if you don’t count the Funk Flex freestyle and Coldplay’s “Lost+”) and is also quite cryptic in nature.
Play count is at 91 on iTunes in case you were wondering.
