Anyone you think is fuckin’ wit me
Better be Vets – better be ‘Ra’,
better be ‘Kool G’ or ‘KRS’
Better be ‘LL’ or ‘Slick’ or them
Neva put me in the ‘Top Ten’ BITCH!
It’s disrespect to the life that burnt the verses
Or nigga writes who comes first
It’s the ‘Ice Cube’ ‘MC Shan’ them type dudes
So B.E.T.’s list was wrong, don’t get me wrong
I did chill in the throne alone so long
^THIS? This is how you pay homage.

Niggas that he all respects. He’ll use a niggas lines out of respect not for deception.
^^^
D Block, you’re missing the whole point. The question is, how will people ever know he took someone else’s line…? How is that credit given to the original writer…?
You ever listened to Ridin Dirty..? No..? So how you gonna know Bun wrote some of 99 Problems..?
I get both views. But the truth is, most people wont give credit where it is really due, because theyre oblivious to the fact it is even a “quote” from another MC.

And y’all know DBlock is a Jay groupie.
^
Smh. I’m not getting my trousers in a bunch because someone called Jay a Camel or because someone said he dressed corny. I ain’t Iceberg. I’m arguing valid points.

Ok, so if you had it your way no rapper should ever use another great’s, great line? It just shouldn’t be done? Or let it be done and we call said rapper a jacker and leave it at that?

See, nigga like Iceberg fuck up this whole conversation. I’m making valid points, not even stanning. Like a real discussion and in this fool walk in with his autographed Roc-A-Wear headband -mind you that hes never washed- that Jay threw in the crowd at the Black Album concert.

Who cares. Cos I dont.
Im just telling you what the inevitable outcome is. And that is that everyone will think Jay wrote them rhymes. *shrugs* Is that a good thing…? No, not in my eyes, but like I said when I first commented, THIS SHIT HAPPENS. Its not Jay’s fault per se, its just the way history will write it.
I see your view. But ask Grandmaster Caz if he’s feeling the fact everyone thinks Big Bank Hank invented that flow. It may be a different perspective.
