All good points… but it doesnt change the fact that

    1. the music will come out before the artist wants it to
    ——————————————-
Well, if your talking about albums, then those come out on the label’s time. Most artist want their music out ASAP.

    2. the anticipation builds even more ‘fans’ if you will, for kanye’s music.
    ——————————————————-
The majority of people checking for Good Friday music are either a) Kanye Stans, or b) people who want to see if Kanye can return to the level of music he was making before Swiftgate.

And i could be wrong but crooked took this idea from kanye…
    ————————————————-
Your definitely wrong. Crooked, Freeway, Jay Rock, and Young Chris (among others) have completed weekly (or daily) music series. Even Gorilla Zoe did 28 days worth of mixtapes earlier this year.

As far as Good Friday, most of the songs have ranged from self-serving to mediocre, but the name value creates anticipation like none other.

^love love love was in no way mediocre. and these are jam session that he’s releasing. letting niggas come in like instruments. that’s why certain niggas ain’t even doing bars, just pop in as instruments on orchestrations by the illest producers. you upside down if you don’t like this shit…

And I’m bitching? Because I don’t think any of that Good Friday music is amazing? Its overindulgent tripe designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator- the KDF. Anybody know why an mp3 will all of sudden does not play in itunes or any other music player? This has happened a few times where a files has been unchanged but ceases to function. Is the files too old?

    ^
i just fixed this problem myself. if you are using the current/newest version of windows go to default programs > set default program > find itunes and select “make default program” then go into itunes and go to preferences > advanced > warn me if itunes is NOT my default program.

close itunes. got a folder and click an mp3… if itunes doesnt open right away then it didnt work.. but it just worked for me.

But of course, my point though was that Kanye wasn’t the first, nor the last, to use this concept. Gucci, Weezy, 50 and G-Unit dropped G-Unit Radio monthly… The KDF would really believe Kanye parted the red sea and invented slice bread if he told you over an overproduced track with harps and xylophones playing while Kaseem Screams “ITS SHOWTIME” every 4th bar.

when it comes to shit like that, fuck Jay-Z

    ^^

Yo, I’ll admit I’m a Jay stan (NH) but sometimes I think he caused a lot of the bullshit that’s happened simply by not showing up for the “Oh boy” video and not doing the welcome to NY video. Surely Cam doing well would have lead to more money for everyone?

but to make it seem like Kanye has revolutionized ANYTHING at this point is falsehood.

to each his reach. but i notice niggas is hypocritical. they be reverse engineering their hate. because they dont like kanye’s outfits or how he stunts or whatever else they find ways of not liking his music EVEN WHEN THEY DO. no shots. and i ain’t even a kanye stan like that.

    ^^

Who is being a hypocrite? I have never budged from my position that Kanye’s music is more a sum of its parts than any particular part of his talent. He’s not an amazing rapper, his production style has been done before, and vocally, he’s not the most engaging rapper (sometimes he can go super whiny to the point of grating on my nerves); However, his talent’s lie in making all of that work for the betterment of his music; most artists can’t do that.

    ^^^

Its easy to gloss over because Juelz/Def Jam did nothing with the buzz they both received from BBB. Banks ended up with a gold plaque, another single on the radio, and a new Major Label deal; Juelz is still trying to release the Reagan Era mixtape.

Man fck all them dipset niggas, hov was the only one kept it real, i lot of yall niggas dont know the real, camron was throwing all kind of shots and hov on his 2nd album and hov was beefing with mase and all them other harlem cats…So when dame brought cam to roc a fella, hov kept his distance, he didnt fuck with them cats and kept it all the way real. They wanted hov at the video and on there songs, they had to beg for that welcome to new york. Few years b4 they were thrown shots and now they wanted to kiss ass.

Hov gave them a shot by ok the roc a fella deal, cam went plat. (the only time ever) and than roc a fella breaks up and they go right back to dissin hov. You cant name one time where hov was throwin shots at them niggas. Them niggas was employees, if they made money, hov made money
