Well, the beat is definitely different from what I would normally choose, but I wanted to make a point to a friend of mine that I could rap over anything and that was the beat he chose. Thats actually the point. The first part of the project talks about the shit I got into before I got myself together (the Crook) and the second part is after I went to college and my experiences there (The Degree)… Hence the title “The Crook With A Degree”

@Abortatron, the only J Cole songs that really hit me (n) is Dollar & a Dream II and this new joint. He’s talented though. Maybe I’ll like his album more than his other material.
