I think we’ve officially entered the “New Age” of hip-hop…
On one hand >> New artists like Drake, J Cole, Kid Cudi, and Wale are all products of the popular music industry machine and are all put up as the forefront so that kids outside of the hood can embrace the genre.
On the other hand >> New artists like Wiz K, Freddie Gibbs, Yelawolf, and Big KRIT are all more underground at the moment for the real hip-hop heads that are younger
