I love the ‘who is Joey’ arguments. He’s a one hit wonder, he’s a nobody etc. Meanwhile, their favorites rappers have NEVER had a hit (not that it’s even important, but certainly ironic when accusing someone of being a one hit wonder). The majority of us appreciate ill lyrics, so the ‘who is Joe Buddens’ argument, is always amusing to me. Like Elzhi, Jay Electronica, Black Milk, Blu, Tek, Phonte etc have ever had legitimate traditional hits.
I could give a fuck about hits, because that’s not why i listen to music, but when you’re saying Joey is a has been or a one hit wonder, it’s the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black, when your favorite artist are never beens according to that logic.
Niggas always come up with some bullshit to discredit a niggas talent. Just say i don’t like nigga, end of story. Weak propaganda will never be respected or admissible. Joe Budden is one of the illest niggas to ever rap, that’s who he is.

Rae and Ghost aren’t the only ones that don’t like a shark biter. Drake’s producer, Noah “40″ Shebib tells VIBE in the Aug/Sept issue that Ye cursed him out for “borrowing” his sound.

I thought Joey’s first album was great…then he became a another casuality in hip-hop’s long list of cats “who can rhyme circles around everyone, but doesn’t have the “it” factor including:
- Slaughterhouse (why do you think they became a group?)
- Rhymefest
- Wale (borderline…depending on the track)
- J. Cole (but he may have gotten of this list with his last three tracks)
- Bleek
- Young Chris
- Elzhi
- Jay Electronica (although he does have a sense of humor at least)
- Big Boi (debatable certainly)
- Lupe (presently)
- Nas (best example, but he was just THAT good)
- Talib Kweli
- Black Thought
Please understand, they’re all — well, mostly — great artist in their own right, it’s just that something ALWAYS seems to be missing and no one can clearly explain it.

I’m predicting Ye is gonna turn that beiber and rae collab into a rap track and sample the song like he did with pokerface. Clever raps I hope and no actual rap feature on a pop song.

I caught that MTV Doc on Drake & 40…and fuck both them dudes [ll]. Child actors who’ve had money since they were 5 FOH.
And the more I listen to Drake, the more I hear this dude bitching about nonsense. “It’s so hard being rich and fucking women…when will this pain leave?” How am I gonna get through this struggle?” What a fag

His WHOLE mainstream career is influenced by 808s & Heartbreak.
Drake just took the whole “emo” rap to the extreme. And now he’s making where cats won’t be able to talk much about their personal struggles (except Eminem obviously) and make people feel them…or even care for that matter.

^This is kinda unfair. I mean you’re comparing two years to the last 30 of hip hop of course the old ones are gonna be better, there’s a shit load more of them and they have a lot more work to look at…

Yes, but more specifically, their rap “style”. Jay Elect does a humorous wit to his music.
