I also wonder if they were shooting for intentional irony by using a song that Dre seems reluctant to complete and release, from an album that he seems reluctant to complete and release, in a commercial that depicts him “remastering” and improving a laptop for the marketplace. It looks like they’re gonna extend this ridiculously long and drawn out album hype cycle with an additional, exhausting promotional build up to an album that can’t possibly be good enough to justify this decade long jerk around we’ve been getting.
