I was, its sometimes long hours, but pay is good, and people only move up if they are good at their job, so thats a quality thing.
plus, you switch from client toc lient your firts couple years before settling ona few, so its nice variety. enjoy the benefits, cuz they’ll have you working, ya dig?

Real rap, if you wasn’t commenting between ’05 – ’07 you missed the Golden Years. Niggas was way more intelligent (see what I did there?) and the ether, information/outformation, and overall dialogue was uncanny. At the heart of Lupe’s album being in limbo are his singles, or lack thereof. He says that Atlantic presented him with choices of singles they wanted him to record and put on his album. I think you would have to be a complete moron to argue against that point. Although, the comments do add to the overall entertainment value of the website.
I visited this site MUCH more often once I started lurking the comments.
Before that, I would just come like once or twice a week and check out 2-3 pages worth of songs. When I noticed the hilarity I started reading comments daily

I remember when there was a Stray Shots section full of political news that was usually the basis for comment section debates/arguments that somehow segued into a whole ‘nother topic. Everything that you could think of that was happening in the world there was already links on the blog. This oil spill shit would’ve been a loooong 3-day type discussion. YN is the homie and I respect what hes done with RapRadar, but I don’t hear anybody talking about they’re the best site. you niggas saying that today are the first people I ever heard saying that. and what do they do that’s so much diffferent than what we do anyway?
I’ve spoken on this a million times, but the fact of the matter is that we post shit that we think will be of interest to the type of people who come here. When I’m inclined to write something about something I post, then I do. That rarely happens these days because alot of the shit we post doesn’t make me think anything.
this is how it’s been since pretty much 06, and people still come here. you tell me why you come here. you’re more than welcome to go to RapRadar or wherever else. i think the millions of people who come here every year and all of the copycat blogs who stole our blueprint prove that what we do is of value to people. so yeah, there are alot of blogs out there that do what we do and they might have some shit up before us, but we fathered them. so that is what sets us apart.

@ Eskay I wasn’t taking shots at NahRight. There was a comparison made between Nahright and RapRadar. After looking at the two I wondered why do ppl come to Nahright as opposed to other blogs. The reason I gave was the comments. You and Dre said its not the comments, so I asked what the draw was then.

it’s a combination but it should be a given that it’s something i respect somewhat. for example for all the shit i give Curtis, I’m a fan of a lot of his music and I have a certain amount of respect for dude.

I definitely post songs that I don’t personally care for, but they’ll be songs by an artist I respect on some level. If you’re an artist I support, and you send me a song i don’t like, I’m not gonna just not post it. if i’m supporting you and other people are feeling you or are learning about you from my site, then I feel it’s only right that I offer up whatever you’re making for download. it doesn’t cost me anything and there’s a good chance that somebody else might fuck with it.
