  2. reem Says:

    This dude is so corny.

  3. mcb Says:

he and Pharrell been hangin, that stache is evident enough.
but in reality, have they ever seen each other in person haha…

just finished a section in my book, doing good, one more to go, then its recreational activities.

oh and to that snitch on the boards
their is a diff between snitching and moral decisiions. we teach it to our children (not me i aint got kids, thanks goodness), tattling vs whats right.
plus most problems can be solved without police intervention
so if your first act of prevention is police, you’re scared, prob have poor interpersonal/conflict resolution skills and kinda a bitch.

  4. Bricktop Says:

that’s dangerous when rick ross is kicking that bullshit he’s kicking
    ^
True. But someone who’s young enough to fall for his charades and follow the example that his character leads is probably too young to be listening to this shit in the first place. I mean as much as i loved the Ultimate Warrior, I knew I couldn’t go to school rocking face paint and tassels.

  5. FAME Says:

Asher is talented, real, smart and EXACTLY what the game needs. Please stop hating if you haven’t given him an honest chance.

  6. mcb Says:

female ro someone soulful on the hook, or just kids chorus, not you too.

its not terrible or anthing, im prob not gonna be playing this in my whip tho.
he clearly got some spit to him.
    nh.

  7. de la swole Says:

rap music is subliminal and works on your subconscious. you think its entertainment but it is a lifestyle to others. this shit is cool to a lot of people of many ages. hiphop lovers go into denial mode when the genre is questioned for its mostly negative effects on people. thats the crazy part man. hiphop is crack and a lot of nigres dont want to put the pipe down

  8. Bricktop Says:

Got to teach the kids to be more strong- minded and less impressionable.

  9. silas aka simon Says:

the machine and this guy eshhhh somebody could have said the stash was a no go tho

  10. Bricktop Says:

How is rap music a lifestyle if you’re not a rapper? That doesn’t even make sense.

  11. koa29 Says:

    @bricktop

it influences your everyday life. think about it

  12. de la swole Says:

its not just teaching kids. its teaching older people. older folk are more lost than the kids because kids have time to grow. however they are in an environment where the older folk are lost and act like impressionable kids. thats what hiphop does. traps you into that child conscious

  13. PHENOMENON Says:

    They caught the Barefoot Bandit!!

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, when was there ever a positive black male image? And who imagined him? After MLK?

you don’t think these dude provide a model on how to live your life as a successful black man in the spot light?

^How about looking to your parents as successful role models? We are the only race of people who look for entertainers to raise our children. If your child is sitting in front of the computer/tv screen and doesn’t know the difference between real life and images then that’s YOUR fault. That means that you failed as a parent and there’s nothing you can do to reverse that effect that doesn’t involve an intervention, i.e. professional counseling, help from more stable family members, etc. These boys and girls on the street are examples of poor parenting, a generation that didn’t learn from the last one. I have yet to meet someone raised in a decent household whose life decisions was influenced by entertainment. NOT ONE.

Granted, you do what you an to protect yourself but I pay taxes. They need to get their asses out here and handle it.

  18. Bricktop Says:

I’ll be honest, rap definitely influenced my teen years. But as a grown man with a mortgage, wife, and career, this shit in no way/ shape/ form has any bearing on my life other than entertainment/ nostalgia purposes to pass the time. At some point reality sets in and you have to grow up. Rap is a child’s game.

    Yo Bricktop,

this is exactly the point we are making bro. Look at the rappers that’s influencing teens now. It is a far cry from ATCQ, ROOTS, and people like Bambadda. That’s all I’m saying.

  23. Bricktop Says:

Sir Charles became my role model the moment he told me he wasn’t.

    Rap is a child’s game.

^Word. A lot of older folk are still children. ross may be just playing around or whatever but what grown man goes around calling himself big meech or mc hammer. that’s what you would expect a kid to do. They run around the house thinking theyre a superhero or some other character they read or hear about. Same shit with Jay-Z, calls himself sinatra knowing damn well he aint no sinatra. And they all got nicknames like little kids. Thats what hiphop is man, a childs game. A lot of nigres are still in that play pen.

Ehh. I was raised on 90′s era Queens bridge rap. I was a teen during the most violent era in rap. That’s why I have no problem referring to all new rappers as faggots. If anything, all of these new rappers are a bunch of homo clowns. So, unless you’re concerned about the future of the circus industry, then I wouldn’t be too concerned.

well I’m 25 and grew up on Mos, Talib, Tibe, Nas, and the Roots. The thugs always were a joke to me. My family were some of the worst so I knew what to steer clear of. Others weren’t as fortunate. They actually believe the things these spew and act on it. I’m a Chicagoan born and raised. Grew up on the elusive South Side where my moms still reside until I finish my Law shit. The amount of Gucci, Waka, and (insert LD rapper here) is obnoxious. But that’s te shit try mimic. Not you, us, or more calculated people. Shit is in shambles man. Mostly coming from bad role model choices and the previous generation of parenting.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Totally, I don’t even think it’s because they haven’t given him a chance, I think it’s just that some people just love to hate. It’s a disease really, I think Asher Roth is a smart dude, just because he doesn’t wear chains around his neck and doesn’t talk about bling all the time. That is uniqueness and education there. People need to WAKE UP!

Does anyone have a cure for Hate yet?

  34. Blacklion Says:

Asher doesn’t fit into comic book rap so ……….
just take what you can get and let the “haters” find it when they settle down a Lil. HOWEVER LONG THAT might take>

<–discovered Roy Ayers thanx to the Roots ,a Ounce, and a bottle of gentlemen Jack.

    Was a great day indeed.
