^It’s a strong possiblity that players won’t be getting max contracts after this season, if he waits and the NBA rules lowering the max contracts then that is a very epic fail on melo’s behalf. The Nuggets are offering him 20 million a year for three year, so basically he’s getting more money a year then any of the players signing max deals. The reason why he’s turning it down is because he wants to win and feels like the nuggets GM isnt brining in any new talent.
Melo should just sign and wait it out, billups comes off the books at the end of the season, and k-mart comes off the books next season, and k-mart was making 10+ million a year, that’s alot of cap space to spend on some a great free agent next off season
