Turns out you need a city issued permit to perform on top of the “Late Show with David Letterman” marquee, but not for the actual roof of the building. Jay & Em performed “Renegade” and then Jay did “On To The Next One” & “Empire State of Mind.” The performance is supposed to air on Friday but some flipcam footage has hit Youtube already.
