For whatever reason in rap, past great artists don’t seem to continue to grow their fan base with later younger generation listeners like past greats of other genres tend to.

It may not be because we dispose of our greats (literally and figuratively I guess) but maybe because rap as a genre wasn’t anywhere near as large back then as it is now — which allows icons to be made. We lost 2 icons already — whether they’re icons because they should be or because we lost em is whole other discussion.

look at the big picture. hes clearly very talented, writes great lyrics and can flow on a lotta beats (even the terrible ones). yo casket, i know the show is based on mark w, but it sounds like this specific epsiode is actually about him on the show. ill check it out i guess. havent been into the show really since the first couple seasons.
