Paul Mooney’s had more impact in the last like 30 or 40 years lol. He wrote for EVERYBODY. seriously, he opened the door for almost every black comedian today.
^he’s actually not funny. Just raw. And says things no one else has the courage to say. Chappelle is a comic genius. And he is in the line of Murphy and Pryor. Chris Rock is more like Bill Cosby even tho he was influenced by Murphy.

Chappelle’s no genius. he’s a weed head. and one of the funniest ever. I’m not taking ANYTHING away from Dave, he’s funny as hell. I’ve never heard of anyone popping up from hiatus and doing an unscheduled performance on an LA stage for 6 straight hours.
But his comedy isnt genius. he says shit we all think and go through on the daily but in a way, and in words none of us can.
Give me something genius Chappelle has said. cuz to me its the other way around.
