The opposite of the mindless kiddie/ moron music that leads record sales for the genre(no Drake).

  12. Bricktop Says:

The piano key intro to Bloody Money>>> your mother’s life.

5 minutes into the flick and jessica alba is gettin spanked bare ass w/a leather belt.

    GREAT!

True. But fam, that was a looooong (ll) time ago. Timewise, it’s like somebody in ’97 saying that they’re waiting for the new Funky 4 1 LP because they dropped heat on their first record.

  15. Bricktop Says:

    @ Kev:
You couldn’t pay me to watch that flick. Saw the unrated preview a few months ago and read the reviews. Not my cup of Kool aid. Oh well enjoy!

    Word.

War Report is just as dope as Illmatic, It Was Written, Infamous, and Hell on Earth. Seriously.

  17. PATRON JAMES Says:

But Drake’s difference has also made him a target. In May 2009 he was robbed at gunpoint in a Toronto restaurant. He cooperated with the police investigation, in what some perceived as a violation of hip-hop’s no-snitching ethos.

I agree. 13 years is like a lifetime for Drake’s fanbase. Alright, I’m done with tonight’s dosage of Drakehate.

I lied. Drake, leader of the new school of rappers, is a fag leading an entire generation of kids to Fagdom. Biggie never would’ve done this.

  22. why? Says:

Rappers making millions after a few years = Assholes

Man somebody needs to punch Terrance from 106 & Park in the face.

  23. Bricktop Says:

But seriously, what was the point of rocking boxers beneath balling shorts beneath jeans? Shit was very uncomfortable. At the time it seemed cool, but now. . . .

  24. dockevoc Says:

    Camo Season is fire…
    Bodega Stories is FIRE
War Report is a classic, i still bump that shit
nice to see these guys making some gangsta ass shit

    Scarface ‘Dopeman Music’ is fire

Recovery is cool cuz he’s rapping with emotion again, not in funny voices. Great? Not quite, but quite a comeback nonetheless.

  25. E AKA THE REAL NORIEAGA Says:

“I went to a Jewish school, where nobody understood what it was like to be black and Jewish,” he says. “When kids are young it’s hard for them to understand the make-up of religion and race.”

I don’t think he ever even directly addresses that on TML

  26. Bricktop Says:

Why would you pay for a Drake album when the radio is free?

  27. Bricktop Says:

Jada Champ pt. 3 is real man rap.

    so is the internet…
Not even talking torrents.. Just of nah it’s possible to get damn near the full album, the cover, videos, and the liner notes… Not even iTunes is fuckin with that

    ^^
on a sidenote… As a kid growing up in a pampered child star who seems to have no real times to his black heritage then the occasional visit to his father… His rampent use of the word nigga and adoption of a southern accent in his music is just a little unsettling

  32. sleep Says:

The greatest and I remember off jeezy mixtape»»»»»»»

Don’t no other rapper make that street shit like jeezy. Dude is probably the only commercial successful rapper you won’t hear on a pop station. I know niiga gonna hate this but. Aint nobody did it like this since pac once he learn to make those deep introspective songs its over

  33. sashaj Says:

^^jeezy is good but will never be close to being as revolutionary as Pac was sorry….as for Drake he should have addressed that issue about being black in a Jewish neighborhood it would’ve given a bit more diversity to his album although he neeeds to save SOME things for the second album ..it seems he wont make it past a third album

  34. els Says:

Is Fred The Godson dope or am I imagining it? Just heard him on Sirius, never gave him a real listen

  35. sleep Says:

I’m not saying jeezy is the next pac. I’m just saying his street stuff has that feel. Dude don’t make pop records but sell better than most rappers. And he never get hit with the “fake gangsta title like ross, wayne, and game

  36. Bricktop Says:

it seems he wont make it past a third album
    ^
Yeah right. Dude is too plugged into the system. Prepare to have the next 7-10 years flooded with Drakedom a la Hov. Watch.

worse artist have stayed around for longer…

However this nigga better not take hiatus because his target audience is very fickle and forget easily… Word to nelly falling off

  39. kevfrescura de talco Says:

REVIEW: THE KILLER INSIDE ME is going to be one hell of a polarizing film. That was painfully evident at the Sundance gala for this, as during the Q & A, one audience member chastised director Michael Winterbottom, and the Sundance committee for allowing this film to be seen.

    ^

yo i’m tellin y’all, this shit is graphic as hell.

i’ve been distrurbed. i gotta chase the flick w/some comedy so casey affleck won’t terrorize me in my sleep.

no full version is out there from my knowledge. Ross did say the “Live Fast, Die Young” song is coming soon though.

  46. de la swole Says:

^damn..I just got the minute version that was out. still sounds good

  47. kevfrescura de talco Says:

The crowd, which seemed to balloon to about 65 percent full by the 45-minute mark of the set, went nuts at the sound of the steel drums on “P.I.M.P.” and kept it going on “Many Men” and “In Da Club,” the biggest hit on 50’s groundbreaking debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

    ^

dude will NEVER top this album. so sad. well, at least he can light his stove burning that vitamin water money for life. eh, #kanyeshrug.

  48. Mag Says:

NYPD detectives aren’t sure what role, if any, the Brooklyn rapper might have played in the March killing, but a surveillance video shows Fabolous leaving Club Amazura seconds before a mystery gunman blasted Greg (G-Baby) Brown in the back.

  58. fli-die Says:

As a lifeong hip hop fan 25 yrs and counting to read some of this shit sickens me, for real. If you have a true affinity for the music/culture of hip hop you know that it constantly stays moving forward. With each LAST generation hating on the next. And since “recorded rap music” is ONLY 31 yrs old we gon all have to get along. NO ONE GENERATION OWNS THIS SHIT.

I apprectiate DRAKE, but I also like BIG, and I also like, Quest and I also like BDP/Rakim/BDK/Slick Rick and I also like Run & ‘em AND I even like Flash and all the groups with numbers at the end of they name. I LOVE HIP HOP. Period!

Niggas need to STOP Living in the era in which YOU were introduced to hip hop like that’s ALL there is. This music has BIGGER than one era, one city, one region, one coast.

I was raised on east coast golden era hip hop. My nephew likes Gucci Mane and guess what? It’s ok. WE BOTH LIKE HIP HOP.

    GROW UP!
