After a weekend of bumping TML I’ve come to the conclusion that the CD is a 9/10
June 7th, 2010 at 3:58 pm
I’ve observed that stuff like rock the bells with oldschool and “legendary” rappers gets like whiteonly crowds, while this mainstream summerjam stuff gets all the blacks, the same ones that complain about too many lightshaded colors in the game. No shots or anything, just sayin.

After reading this article, I couldn’t help but be pissed. As a music lover in general and Outkast stan specifically, nothing upsets me more than how radio programming has changed hip-hop for the worst.
Hip-hop used to have a broad representation on the radio (Whoop, There It Is used to be played right after Biggie’s One More Chance). Now, unless it’s club music it won’t make radio, which in turn has turned many adults against hip-hop music (not necessarily the culture). No one in their 30s is on the internet looking for music, but the ride in the car with their kids, which is where they used to hear diverse hip-hop.
Big Boi deserves to be on ATL radio no matter what. Period. I mean, it’s not like the music doesn’t knock. All four leaks are bananas: For Yo Sorrows, Shine Blockas, Shutterbug and General Patton. He’s a fucking legend!

” Shit just takes up space. ”
As does digital music. Logic space, that is. Thing is it doesn’t cost you, but as the Hard Drive gets more and more content, space is an issue …
