Lauryn Hill to Headline Rock The Bells 2010
URB just revealed that Lauryn Hill will be headlining the 2010 Rock The Bells tour. Not only is she headlining but she’s also going to be performing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in it’s entirety. Provided she can keep her shit together and she still has it in the voice department, I wouldn’t mind seeing that. But yeah, this has as much chance of being a really amazing experience as it does flaming out in a spectacular clusterfuck.

RTB doesn’t fuck around though…it’s worth the money for a floor spot. Drop the money. Sound is top-notch, no wait between acts, and plenty of space to lounge with whoever you’re with up until the final act. Like, I could go check out the other stage, grab a beer and go right back to where the homies were posted up all day.

Can’t disagree with you there, but I can remember my friends telling me how crazy they thought my mom’s was, and I could never see it until I went off to college and got away from her for a while; That shit was mind-blowing. One time, a Navy Recruiter was trying to get me to enlist, and (even though he had a convo with me and my mom’s declining) he made the decision to stop by my house Summer Break of my freshman year. Moms caught him at the door and whipped out her Military Issue 9mm and told him to get off our property, then calmly sat me down and explained that she didn’t spend 20 years of her life digging a hole and pissing in it for Uncle Sam just to have me do the same bullshit…. That was probably the moment I realized I loved my mother more than any other woman could ever hope to receive from me.
