Scared for the first time, everything just clicked/what if I don’t really do the numbers they predict/considering the fact that I’m the one that they just picked/to write a chapter in history, this shit has got me sick…

Thank Me Later – June 15th!

    ^Currently, content & lyrically

    Drake > Cole

that verse over A. Keys shit was just fucking insane, like really, not by much on the lyrical part, maybe cole still got him on that, but in that category they max each other out cause neither one of them is light weights (n) and I don’t think cole sold one record yet, so i wouldn’t even use that when comparing the 2

  55. Slumbilical Says:

don’t for a second think drake is signed to YM – the profits from the album go to G and Tez and then drizzy’s New York lawyers make sure he gets every cent

drake has a joint venture with young money…he ain’t signed to them…check the facts. he’s signed to his management company

the kid been in the entertainment industry since like kindergarten. he’s not some hungry street corner thug rapper who signs for a fake watch and chain and signs away his publishing the same day

baby will see a few chips off this nicca but nothing major – believe it – and if baby ever tried to fuck drake, drake’s lawyers would be so far up baby’s ass, baby would just surrender

drake isn’t on some street shit. it’s not like baby raised him (like wayne) – drake realized that YM is getting on the radio and has a rep so he’s using YM – drake stay playing chess, don’t get it confused – look how quick FOREVER came together – what other rookie freshman could get on a joint with Em…and Ye…and Wayne…FOH – drake stay winning

I have to disagree (of course.) I’d say it’s not in our hands because they know how far it’ll go if it’s posted online, in MP3 format

    http://www.dajaz1.com/2010/05/drake-feat-lil-wayne-miss-me-radio-rip/

and, for the record, Clue/Envy didn’t get it from Universal or whoever you think grants MP3s. they got it the same way other mixtape DJs get tracks, and it’s not from the artist. it just so happens that Clue has it… and doesn’t wanna give it up. cause anything Envy plays on the radio, we post

Carmelo & Wade will always be mentioned with lebron cause of the draft, Cole could be the wade out of this situation and win big before the 1st overall pick does (drake) but he has to stop focusing on songs like “who dat” even tho it’s dope, you gotta try to strike gold every time you rap, I think drake goes in the booth with the intentions of this song can be played on the radio, and in the hood (c) in my business feat Gucci mane

I got that OJ. 1/2 the tracks are interludes/non vocal tracks, but still
the vocals are nice. madlib did some DIFFERENT shit on this than I expected. i wasnt mad at him tho, kinda wanted a couple more soulful, but happy overall. That Dilla track=NICE AS FUCK.

    what u/others think about OJ???

so boom after Aubrey sells 800k first week- does he get the hottest out title?

Hottest popper (pop rapper) and commercial rapper out currently, sure. hottest out, no.

  344. RIGZ Says:

    you’re being over critical.

    ^^

    SMh

I never once criticized this song. you need better reading.

Im trying to see why this song has opened so many eyes…it must be the beat, cos Drake’s beasted on many a track before & still got hated…

  345. Joe 88 Says:

    @007

I think it’s because there clearly the most talented out of the new guys, and you know how the public likes to see a fight.

    ^^^

It’s ridiculous to think Aubrey isn’t still the hottest out. But…”Heat” hasn’t had anything to do with “Skill” since February 2003.

i kinda think so 2, cant give this nigga ALL the credit
    ====================================
    This is true.

The sounds 1da & 40 are hitting Drake with do half of the work for him.

All Drake has to do is bring the hook & not fuck up on the verses.

  348. NESTLE SNIPES Says:

Yeah the ladies really do like this nigga….

Fly ass bitches and dimes stood out hours on a long ass line just to see this Jewish fella (c) fuck boi

  349. The Shot Clock Says:

DO YALL UNDERSTAND BITCHES LOVE THIS NIGGA.. bitches + decent large fan base = sales..

    ^

i actually dont think they do. i think his ppl been really tryna play that up…Drake is talented but he soft as baby shit….that ladie’s man shit will not last, i think it’s on its last breath already.

but thats good cos then he’ll have to make good music.

  350. mcb Says:

Guilty was back on that murder shit on OJ too, wasnt talkin about keeping it safe haha.

something about GS, its not superlyrical, prob the flow i guess. or the sick beats he keeps getting. Im a sucker for an effortless flow, nhjic.

  351. The Shot Clock Says:

Wayne gone come outta jail and steal all this nigga shine though.

  352. LaneKiffin*CainSniffin*LaneSwitchin* Says:

It must be the beat…maybe the electronic soul sound of SFG wasnt for everybody

    ^

he veering back into that SFG lane with this one. thats where he belongs.

    ^^^^^^^^^^
i swear 2 God if this nigga would keep it on this type vibe (II) right here he’d easily be 1 of my favorite artists. Unfortunately he’ll go collab wit gucci and coon in up in a minute tho

  353. NESTLE SNIPES Says:

    if drake does 900k, 800K

that pretty much trumps 50′s, Game’s, first week sales as a new artist.

    That’s not bad company…

add that to the fact its the digital download era.

  354. Els Says:

Boi-1da found a new fruity loops kit

    I like this song.

Where you been, hto beats=hot tracks. Why you think Wayne does so well, correction. why you think YM has done so well.

  356. Joe 88 Says:

Im trying to see why this song has opened so many eyes…it must be the beat, cos Drake’s beasted on many a track before & still got hated…

^I think it’s a lil harder to perform at a top level when your under the microscope, when/if he was spitting like this before sfg he didn’t have as wide a audience as he has now, so of course people are gonna respect this more than his old shit, lol

  357. landlord Says:

guilty simpsons flow reminds me of a younger kinder Beanie Sigel …

  358. why? Says:

so boom after Aubrey sells 800k first week- does he get the hottest out title?

    ^

MTV and BET will probably think so leading to people believing that he is. Dude is performing at their “award ceremonies”.

  359. 007 Says:

    Hope Wiz’s ppl read this!

Drop Pedal to Medal off KushXOJ thats a certified hit Lollipop status. That will catapult Wiz to superstar status hands down!

  360. vcsom Says:

Drake really is the hottest out… this post about to go gold off a freestyle

  361. 456 Says:

i actually dont think they do.

^come on, duke. i guess the record company planted several hundred girls to throw their panties and bras on stage at every venue.

the irony is that NIGGAS don’t like him cause his soft.

  362. RIGZ Says:

when/if he was spitting like this before sfg he didn’t have as wide a audience as he has now, so of course people are gonna respect this more than his old shit,

  364. Hollabread Says:

People make is seem like its impossible to have skills, and be hot at the same time?! Thats the whole point isn’t it? Lets not forget- the same team who brought us the last uber-commercially successful rap album is behind TML….

  365. DC (District of Chase) Says:

Real talk 50 changed da game wit this whole emphasis on Sales, first week #’s etc.

^Sales been a big part of the game long before 50. But sales is the measuring stick with which you guage the interest that a person generates, not necessarily how good the artist or the music is.

You’re not on my level, get your brakes sweeped, I sold what your whole album sold in my first week (c) Jay – Takeover

  366. Detroit P Says:

murda Mook would rip Jay in a Battle…so what?

Being able to rip a song>>>Being able to rip a cipher

..although both skills are nice..I could care less about a cipher verse

Also Drake has been rapping like this for a while…on his mixtapes anyway…have yall ever heard “Fear”…have yall ever heard “Closer to my Dreams”…he is cold in his own right dont get it twisted…and he has the ear for picking beats and crafting songs..another skill needed…..life is more than “hot 16′s”

  367. fuzz e. Says:

@joe 88…. you be on point (no head) but listen to comeback season if you haven’t already. You’ll like that version of drake better

  368. Hi Hater! Says:

lets see if he’ll sell or flop

  369. NOLAIS504(UPTOWN) Says:

I swear jews gotta be the chosen ones, I mean the genocide was just comments on steroids, drake shits on you natiz’s

  370. JohnDough Says:

WHoa whoa all of a sudden Nah is back on Drake again WTF????

  371. skeematics Says:

337 comments ?!? Shit.. why does this Drake dude get so much attention and hype? I still dont get it. Quoting ryhmes as if its some sort of historical hip hop moment… I just dont get it… basic niggas.

  372. Rome Says:

He killt this. This that SFG Drake.

  373. S.Dot Says:

    *listens*

    *puts on repeat*

  374. sashaj Says:

Drake isnt my favorite but I still do like him…All the songs released so far off his album ive liked not loved….Like people up here have said he doesn’t have ‘that’ killer single but maybe it won’t matter. Ex. B.o.B has had two ‘killer’ singles , Nothin on You and Airplanes but first week he only sold like what 90,000…Drake’s numbers will probably be around 220 – 300 K i have a feeling

  375. Juan Says:

Drake blows, great example of how potential can get destroyed by Young Money and their misguided attempts at music

His appeal reaches to the Justin Bieber lovers of the world…and that’s OK. …let the shadow of hip-hop forever loom over the masses :)

I want to see what he does when the sound is no longer “new” and the next “Insert hot new artist is around.”

In the end I think the kid’ll be aight.

  378. yeshNno Says:
