Jay-Z’s current tour DJ and super engineer talks about the first time he heard “Speed”, how he managed to get in touch with him via the guy that was filming Fade To Black, how he got ?uestlove to tell Jay about 9th, that “Threat” was Jay-Z’s idea but that 9th made the beat for it in 20 minutes on Fruity Loops.
