Kiss has been part of and played an integral role in 2 classic movements (RR & Bad Boy). 1 classic group LP and another very dope one that went plat. Although he’s never reached the expectations people set out for him, he has still always put out solid work.
He’s also the 16 bar assassin. So he’s not gonna get credit for 150 venomous features? Where’s Pun contribution like that? How you only have 2 songs recorded when you pass….like are you serious? What kills me about most of these commentors is that they’re judging artist by standards of people that don’t know shot about hip hop. The reason most of these albums are filled with songs that are skippavle is dud to budgets, ignorant a&rs and schedules. Look at Nas for example. This is am artist that has never been pushed label wise, on a label that main money makers are pop and r&b ( he has a joint venture with def). this dude is still being regarded as the goat of hip hop ( there’s a difference between hophop, rap, and gangsta rap also. That’s another topic). To cross over is to cator to suburban artist that has a negative perception of blacks so the music is gonna be watered down.
