Thursday, April 29th, 2010A teaser for the new Marshall.
A teaser for the new Marshall.
Apparently, this Boi-1da-produced beat (same as Em’s “Not Afraid”) was in Maino’s hands first. He was thinking about using it as a single for his sophomore The Day After Tomorrow… You can speculate the rest.

Boi-1da talks about meeting Drake, trying to do at least two or three beats a day, how his beats reached Eminem (who picked two of them for Recovery) through his manager who also happens to be the VP at Interscope, which also helped get his beats to Dr. Dre. He said he met him last month in the studio, along with Game, Stat Quo, etc., and Dre loved his beats.
He also talks about a Jonas Brothers collaboration that the publisher they share is trying make happen. Their busy schedules (thankfully) hasn’t let that happen yet.
