Video: Ice Cube Talks ESPN Documentary Straight Outta LA
Cube talks to HardknockTV about Straight Outta LA, the Raiders film he produced for ESPN’s excellent 30 for 30 documentary series. All of the docs have been great but I have a feeling this one, about the Raiders run in the early 80′s, which happened to coincide with the rise of that West Coast gangster shit and an overwhelming increase in street violence, is gonna be especially good.
HardKnock.TV caught up with Ice Cube at Paid Dues to talk about Straight Outta LA a Documentary Ice Cube is directing for ESPN. Cube also shares his thoughts about his recent interview with Raiders owner Al Davis. Ice Cube ends the interview by telling Hard Knock TV that he was burnt out on music for a while but that he was re-energies by Laugh Now, Cry Later. Cubes new album I am the West is coming soon. Check out part 1 of our interview to learn more about his new album. Interview by Nick Huff Exclusively for Hard Knock TV. Raider Nation stand up!
Check out an excerpt from Straight Outta LA after the jump.

“According to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Nas had to immediately fork over $47,249.42 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support. The judge also ordered Nas to pay $10,000/month in spousal support until he pays off the $299,015.50 he owes Kelis. Nas also has to pay 90% of Kelis’ legal fees in the amount of $155,787.28. Lastly, Nas has to pay $48,549.83 to cover Kelis’ accounting expenses.”

Actually $300k wouldn’t be nothin to pay if Nas was still a relevant rapper. He should be able to scoop that up with a couple of shows…but seeing as he’s seemingly retired and all *smh*

Are the Mavs really balling that hard? Who’s new on their squad?

I wouldn’t be surprised if a wife like Faith Evans did the same shit to Big if he was still alive. In a way Nas wins and loses with the Kelis shit. Dude is motivated and using the bullshit to make some good tracks lately.
