when you see most of this bullshit for what it is, which is bubblegum pop music, its easier to look at it objectively …
but when people try to compare it to genuine hiphop music is when niggas get beside themselves …

^
the thing is though that Love Below and 808′s was part of those artists evolution. They went through a great deal before they got to that point.
these nigglets is comin out the gate with that emo self-absorbed love drunk shit and it comes off as intentionally soft, forced intellectual shit.

Nigga he said “CHILL” …the point is, you haven’t walked in their shoes…until you have, don’t judge them niggas. When money is coming that fast, you feel like it’ll never finish…till one day it does. Shit happens.

But Ye’s entire “Graduation” album was pretty hip-pop .. and that was dope.. i like this song, but then again i’m one of the few BoB fans on here
April 12th, 2010 at 1:28 pm
i always wouldnt note BoB has just a hip-pop dude, i mean, listen to his music…he kinda reaches out to all genres, thats not selling out to mainstream or any of that, that’s just talent

April 12th, 2010 at 3:53 pm
what the fuck is all this talk. please stfu.
who cares if you classify this as pop, rap whatever. all i know is that B.O.B. killed it.
great song.
April 12th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
first listen: lovin haleys voice on the laid back piano beat. gives a total like flyin off airplane vibe
decent lyrics.
everyone calls this stuff soft but i’d call fab’s or cass’s stuff soft before this. kanye was one of the first but it’s alll about rappin about real life and ya know .. issues. haha
i’ll fuxwith it
April 12th, 2010 at 3:57 pm
def is very ‘pop’py tho. it’ll either grow on me or not. i def had bigger expectations for this u could say
April 12th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
I don’t get why everyone wants an artist to be confined to one genre. B.o.B is multi-talented and has interests beyond that boom-bap you all jerk to. Hip Hop isn’t dying because of music like this. Hip Hop is dying because fans refuse to let it evolve and get mad every time something is different. Every time a song isn’t about pussy, guns, or thuggery, the blogs go wild. Maybe this song isn’t for you…ok then, move on with your day.
He is anything but a flop. He is good for hip hop, if anything, because he can bridge listeners of other genres to hip hop. A Paramore listener will check this song for Hayley Williams and then they might go through more of his music and find they like the hip hop stuff.
Keep goin’ B.o.B
April 12th, 2010 at 6:11 pm
Comparing this to Big Pun is like comparing a Civic Type-R to a Mustang, you just don’t do it.
That said this song is pretty dope as far as radio singles go, and it will kill the carts too.
April 12th, 2010 at 6:16 pm
i fox wit it i cant hear 3894620358935 bars of coke guns and whores expand ur ears a lil
