I’m listening to some older stuff I did (4 walls instrumental), and while I dig it, i’m thinking about who’s gonna wanna listen to this, what audience is gonna gravitate towards this music. And on the other hand, I I think about some of the new stuff I made (gangster music) and I think about the reactions I got from my block dudes when I let them hear it, while they love it, they also love “pills got me jigging” and other non sense like that
It feels like i’m sacrificing one side of me for the other. I wanna make more “4 walls” but I wanna actually appeal to someone other than one type of listener

SMH @ the requirements needed to become a rapper. My homeboy said I need to put more “swag” behind my words, WTF? Now I gotta appeal to NIGGAS & bitches?
While I understand what he’s saying, it’s ridiculous, I remember we had a conversation on nah about this reguarding J. Cole, niggas was saying they didn’t wanna hear no regular ass nigga rap, wow, you gotta put on your rapper costume just to be accepted, but niggas stay yelling “keep it real”
I respect your movement, keep doing your thing. The fact that you are pondering about your content say alot about integrity. When I was really writing songs(in the 90`s)the industry was different in alot of ways. Now you have to be prepared to bascially throw away at least 100 songs before you generate a buzz.I would never survive in todays rap climate.Too much is required from an artist. You have to really love this shit.
